What
will I learn?
The overall
objective of the Certified Nurse Aid training program is to prepare you to
provide quality care to clients in health care facilities.
After
this short program, you'll be able to:
Assist residents in
attaining and maintaining functional independence.
Communicate and interact
with clients, families and other health team members effectively.
Demonstrate an
understanding of client's emotional, social, and physical needs through
sensitive interactions and behaviors.
Display an attitude of
understanding of client's rights.
Demonstrate
observational and documentation skills needed in the assessment of
client's health and well being.
How
much does it cost?
Currently the Program fee is
only $1,225 plus the cost of your textbook and study guide. Financial aid may be available for those who qualify through their
local Michigan Works! Agency.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for this program are also
available for an addition $25. |

This
exciting program, offered through the
Continuing Education Department at MMCC, consists of six weeks of training
in a classroom and clinical setting.
During
the classroom time, you'll learn the basics of patient care. While the clinical
training involves working directly with patients in a health care facility.
Clinical labs are held at local long-term care facilities.
